A Dutch environmental group said on Friday it had begun a legal case against top bank ING, aiming to force the institution to halve carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 2030. Milieudefensive and 30,000 co-plaintiffs believe ING is endangering the objectives of the Paris climate accord with its own CO2 emissions as well as its financing of new gas and oil projects.
