A lawmaker from Kazakhstan's ruling party called on Wednesday for tougher regulation to protect the Caspian Sea, warning decades of pollution and shrinking water levels had decimated its plant and animal life. The Caspian Sea, wedged in between Europe and Asia, is the world's largest inland body of water.
