Tesla sales plunge in Germany despite recovery for electric vehicles

Berlin (dpa) - Sales of electric vehicles by US manufacturer Tesla have continued to fall in Germany, official figures showed on Thursday. One day after Elon Musk's company announced a 13% drop in sales worldwide in the first quarter, the German Motor Transport Authority (KBA) said the number of newly registered Tesla vehicles in the country dropped by 42.5% to 2,229 in March.
