IMF Says Number of Migrants, Refugees Doubled in 30 Years

WASHINGTON, April 15 (RIA Novosti) – The number of migrants and refugees in the world has almost doubled in the past 30 years, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on Tuesday. "As of 2024, the global stock of legal migrants and refugees had reached 304 million—or 3.7 percent of the global population—almost double that observed in 1995, with about one in six being refugees or asylum seekers," the IMF said in a chapter of its World Economic O......
