MOSCOW, April 16 (RIA Novosti) - Italian President Sergio Mattarella has been fitted with a cardiac pacemaker, La Stampa newspaper reported on Wednesday, citing sources in the president’s office. The 83-year-old underwent the surgery late on Tuesday. He is in a stable condition after spending a peaceful night at Rome's Santo Spirito hospital, the paper reported.
