Russia's Court Cuts US Citizen Woodland's Sentence to 9.5 Years in Drug Case - Lawyer

MOSCOW, April 22 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's cassation court of has reduced the sentence of US national Robert Woodland, convicted of attempted drug trafficking, from 12.5 years to 9.5 years, his lawyer told RIA Novosti on Tuesday. In July, the Moscow prosecutor's office said that Woodland had been sentenced to 12.5 years in jail in the illegal drugs case. "The sentence was reduced ... to 9.5 years," the lawyer said....
