SAP sees 60% surge in first quarter operating profit after job cuts

Frankfurt (dpa) - German software giant SAP on Tuesday reported a 60% jump in first quarter adjusted operating profit, boosted by cost savings from a major restructuring plan carried out last year. Adjusted operating profit rose to ?2.46 billion ($2.8 billion), well above analyst expectations, as most of the workforce reductions took effect in early 2025, the company said in a statement.
