Shares in food delivery app Deliveroo soared almost 18 percent in afternoon trading in London on Monday, after the company confirmed it had received a takeover proposal from US peer DoorDash. Deliveroo announced, after market hours on Friday, an indicative offer from DoorDash of £1.80 per share, valuing the company at around £2.7 billion ($3.6 billion).
