Porsche's Q1 profit plunges amid China weakness, restructuring costs

Stuttgart (dpa) - German sports car maker Porsche started the year with a sharp decline in earnings, hit by weak performance in China, rising costs and a planned company restructuring. First-quarter sales fell 1.7% year-on-year to ?8.86 billion ($10 billion), the Stuttgart-based company - majority-owned by Volkswagen - said in its earnings report on Tuesday.
