London (PA Media/dpa) - A rising number of wild bees and butterflies in Europe are facing the threat of extinction, a new conservation assessment has warned. The findings have prompted calls for urgent action to reverse the "dire" state of the continent's pollinators, which play a key role in natural systems and food production but face threats from agriculture, pollution and rising temperatures.
