Japan industrial output down 3.3 pct in August

TOKYO, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Japan's industrial output dropped 3.3 percent in August from a month earlier, government data showed on Monday. The seasonally adjusted index of production at factories and mines in the reporting month stood at 99.7 against the 2020 base of 100, preliminary data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry showed.
