A Russian court on Wednesday jailed an activist for 12 years after an undercover security agent recorded his intentions to join a banned unit of Russians supporting Ukraine. Moscow has punished thousands of people with prison sentences or fines for denouncing the Ukraine offensive or sympathising with Kyiv.
