Pensioner arrested for alleged murder of biological son at Siudiva village

NKURENKURU, 14 OCT, (NAMPA)- The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) have arrested a 68-year-old man in connection with the alleged murder of his son at Siudiva village in the Kavango West Region on Sunday.
In a crime report on Monday, NamPol’s Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga in Kavango West said the incident occurred around 19h45 when the deceased was shot on the back of the head and the rear thigh of the right leg.
“It is alleged that the suspect who happens to be the father of the deceased shot the deceased twice and the incident happened in their house. The deceased died on the spot and his remains were transported to the Nkurenkuru Police Mortuary for an autopsy,” he said.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Rundu Magistrate’s court and police investigation continues.
