Guangdong carbon market closes lower

GUANGZHOU, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- Carbon emissions allowances closed at 38.23 yuan (5.28 U.S. dollars) per tonne on Monday, down 7.88 percent from Friday at Guangzhou Emissions Exchange, the largest local carbon market in China. A total of 7,845 tonnes of allowances were transacted on Monday with a turnover of 299,942.2 yuan.
