Hong Kong pro-democracy media mogul Jimmy Lai testified Wednesday that he asked former US vice president Mike Pence to "voice out" support for Hong Kong in a 2019 meeting but insisted he did not ask him to take action. "I asked (Pence) to voice out for Hong Kong, to support us... to say something in support," Lai told the court during his collusion trial under Hong Kong's national security law, but said it was "beyond me" to ask Pence to take act......
