Israel downs drone crossing from Egypt carrying weapons

JERUSALEM, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement on Wednesday that it had foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons from Egypt to Israel using a drone. The drone crossing into Israeli territory was carrying four rifles, five cartridges, and hundreds of bullets, the IDF said, adding the weapons and ammunition were transferred to security forces for further investigation.
