Parties agree to form minority government in German state of Saxony

Dresden, Germany (dpa) - Germany's Social Democrats (SPD) and the conservative Christian Democrats (CDU) have agreed to form a minority government in the eastern state of Saxony, after a majority of both parties' lawmakers approved a coalition agreement on Monday. It comes after state elections in September, which saw the conservative CDU clinging on to first place with 31.9% of the vote, just ahead of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD)......
