German court hands down prison term after woman steals ?8m in cash

Bremen, Germany (dpa) - A former employee of a German cash-in-transit company charged with stealing millions from the firm's premises was sentenced to six years and nine months in prison by a regional court in the northern city of Bremen on Monday. "She wanted to live a life of luxury without working for it," the presiding judge said. The court found the 32-year-old guilty of stealing almost ?8.2 million ($8.6 million) in cash in May 2021.
