"No change in status" of closed Syrian embassy in U.S.: State Department

WASHINGTON, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- There has been "no change in status" of the Syrian embassy in Washington that has been closed since 2014, a spokesperson for the U.S. State Department said Monday. "No, there is not," Matthew Miller, the spokesperson, responded during a regular press briefing when asked by a reporter to confirm that "there's no change in status of the Syrian embassy in Washington, D.C."
