Former senior provincial political advisor stands trial for bribery, illegal possession of guns

NANJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Yang Kening, a former senior political advisor for southwest China's Sichuan Province, stood trial on Thursday for bribery and illegal possession of guns and ammunition. His case was heard at a court in the city of Nantong, Jiangsu Province. Prosecutors accused Yang of taking advantage of his various posts in Sichuan to provide assistance to others in matters such as project contracting and business operations,......
