Bayern close to Neuer contract renewal, others could follow

Munich (dpa) - Bayern Munich are close to renewing the contract of their veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and talks with other players are also progressing, board member for sport Max Eberl said on Thursday. Neuer, 38, has been at Bayern since 2011 and is currently sidelined with a rib fracture. His current deal expires after the season.
