Mexico on Thursday announced temporary tariffs on a range of clothing and textile products in an effort to protect its industry and jobs. The measures -- which do not apply to Mexico's free trade partners including the United States and Canada, and will remain in force until April 2026 -- include a tariff of 35 percent on 138 types of finished goods and 15 percent on 17 textile products.
