London (PA Media/dpa) - The mildest start to Christmas Day on record has been recorded for Northern Ireland and Scotland. In Scotland's Kinloss, Moray, temperatures reached 11.9 degrees Celsius, while at Killowen, County Down in Northern Ireland, it peaked at 11 degrees for the 24-hour period ending at 9 am (0900 GMT), the Met Office said.
