German writer, publisher Michael Krüger wins Italy's Nonino prize

Rome (dpa) - The writer and long-time head of the Munich-based Hanser Verlag publishing house, Michael Krüger, is set to receive Italy's prestigious Nonino Prize for International Literature, a statement said on Thursday. "He always has so much to say: things about life and history. When you read what he writes, you discover that it is also about our feelings and thoughts," the jury said of Krüger's work.
