Stock markets surged on Wednesday, buoyed by robust US bank earnings and encouraging inflation data from the United States and Britain. Wall Street's three main indexes jumped after US financial titans Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, BlackRock and others posted stellar quarterly results.
