Malta customs intercepts 250 kg of cocaine destined for Greece

VALLETTA, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Customs officers at the Malta Freeport Terminal intercepted around 250 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a container that was destined for Greece, the department said in a statement on Wednesday. The Malta Customs said its officers had effectively used profiling to put the spotlight on a container which originated from the port of Guayaquil in Ecuador and was destined for the port of Piraeus in Greece.
