Cambodia sees big jump in electric vehicle registration in 2024

PHNOM PENH, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia registered a total of 2,253 electric vehicles (EVs) in 2024, a significant rise of 620 percent from only 313 in the year before, said a report from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport on Wednesday. The three most popular EV brands in the Southeast Asian country are China's BYD, Japan's Toyota, and America's Tesla, the report said.
