Wolfsburg, Germany (dpa) - An emergency clause in a wage deal that ailing German carmaker Volkswagen reached before Christmas allows for a 28-hour working week if necessary, VW sources confirmed to dpa on Wednesday. The collective wage agreement contains a provision that allows working hours to be reduced to 28 hours in the event of bottlenecks - with only partial wage compensation.
