Syria's Northeast Should Be Under Control of Authorities in Damascus - Foreign Minister

ISTANBUL, January 15 (Sputnik) - Syria's northeast should be under the control of central authorities in Damascus and the presence of Kurdish groups there is not necessary, Syrian interim government Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shibani said on Thursday. "There is no justification left now for the SDF [Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces] presence in northeastern Syria. We are working to return [the territories] to the central government.......
