Nearly 6 kg of heroin seized in central Myanmar

YANGON, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities have seized 5.94 kg of heroin in Mandalay region of central Myanmar, the state-run daily The Mirror reported on Thursday. Acting on a tip-off, anti-narcotics police searched a vehicle in Mandalay's Mahaaungmyay township on Jan. 7 and confiscated the heroin. Four suspects were arrested at the scene, the report said.
