Sugar futures close lower

ZHENGZHOU, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Sugar futures closed lower Thursday in daytime trading on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE). The most active sugar contract for May 2025 delivery lost 41 yuan (about 5.7 U.S. dollars) to close at 5,781 yuan per tonne.
