Berlin (dpa) - German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has reiterated the importance of close political co-operation and strong alliances with the United States ahead of Donald Trump's upcoming second term as US president. In remarks published by the Rheinische Post newspaper on Monday, Scholz said that transatlantic relations remain essential for both Germany and Europe.
