BEIJING, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- China recorded a total of 5.615 billion domestic travel trips in 2024, marking a 14.8-percent increase from the previous year, according to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Wednesday. Domestic travelers spent over 5.75 trillion yuan (about 790 billion U.S. dollars) during the year, up by 17.1 percent from 2023, the ministry said.
