Myanmar extends state of emergency for 6 more months

YANGON, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's National Defense and Security Council (NDSC) on Friday extended the state of emergency in the country for six more months, state-run Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) reported. At the NDSC's meeting held in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday, all NDSC members present agreed to extend the emergency period, the report said, adding that the extension was made in accordance with Section 425 of the State Constitution.......
