MOSCOW, February 4 (RIA Novosti) – Italy is not ready to boost its defense spending to 5% of GDP, as requested by US President Donald Trump, Italian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani said on Tuesday. "We are ready to reach 2%, but certainly not 5%, even considering that we are the country with the largest number of military personnel deployed in missions abroad," Tajani told Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
