Stuttgart (dpa) - A German court on Monday sentenced a man who attacked football fans at a public screening of a European Championship game last year to nine and a half years in prison. The 26-year-old Syrian man was found guilty of attempted murder and attempted manslaughter after carrying out a knife attack on Turkish fans in the south-western city of Stuttgart during the Euro 2024 group stage match between Turkey and the Czech Republic.
