London (PA Media/dpa) - British steel exports to the United States will be hit with 25% tariffs under Donald Trump's plans as the UK's new ambassador to Washington, Peter Mandelson, said people must respect the president's "strong and clear mandate." The president's executive order removes exemptions for the United Kingdom and other countries, meaning steel and aluminium exports to the US will be hit by tariffs from March 12.
