Sweden's government said Wednesday it would increase defence spending by about 300 billion kronor ($30 billion) over the next decade. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson told a press conference the investments would be funded through loans and constitute "the biggest rearmament since the Cold War," aiming to increase defence spending to 3.5 percent of GDP by 2030, up from the 2.4 percent currently. jll/yad ...
