German woman, 90, on trial for beating friend to death with pot

Munich (dpa) - A 90-year-old woman went on trial in Munich on Thursday for the murder of her closest friend by hitting her over the head with a pot during a fight over tidying away the shopping. The wheelchair-bound accused maintained her silence at the start of the trial, covering her face with a folder. She has been in custody since the crime was committed in July 2024.
