Germans slowly adapting to paying by smartphone

Frankfurt (dpa) - Cashless payment by smartphone or smartwatch is on the rise in Germany but remains the exception, with cash, debit cards and credit cards still predominant in shops across the country, according to a survey commissioned by Visa and published on Thursday. Around 32% of the 1,833 adults surveyed by the Forsa group made use of a smartphone or smartwatch at least occasionally when paying for goods or services in a physical outlet. A......
