Inquiry: Deadliest Channel crossing a 'terrible human tragedy'

London (PA Media/dpa) - An inquiry into the deadliest Channel crossing on record has heard that, despite repeated distress calls from migrants on board a sinking boat to UK authorities, "no-one came to their rescue".
