Pro-Kurdish activists unfurl banner from Berlin's Brandenburg Gate

Berlin (dpa) - Four activists climbed up Berlin's iconic Brandenburg Gate on Monday using a lifting platform to unfurl a banner from the top reading "For democracy in Syria" and "Defend Rojava", according to police. Police were alerted at around 2:20 pm (1320 GMT) and officers have been deployed to the site, a police spokesman said.
